How long should I stay in a cold plunge?
The recommended time for an cold plunge is usually between 3-5 minutes under 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Longer durations may not provide additional benefits and could increase the risk of negative side effects, such as hypothermia.

What temperature should the water be? 
The optimal water temperature for a cold plunge is generally anything below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. A temperature as low is 37 degrees Fahrenheit isn’t necessary for most people, but everyone is different so variations exist based on individual tolerance and specific goals.

Can I take a cold plunge after any type of exercise?
Cold Plunges are commonly used after intense workouts, especially those involving cardiovascular training or HIT (High Intensity Training). However, for workouts focused on muscle hypertrophy, try plunging before your workout instead of after, studies have shown this order to be more effective.

What maintenance is involved with owning an Ora Cold Plunge?
The Ora cold plunges are very low maintenance! We recommend changing the cooling unit filter every 2-4 weeks (this is based on 1 or 2 people using it most days) but this varies depending on the frequency of use. Occasionally draining the water (every 2-4 months) is also recommended.

What is the installation process like?

Do you offer an installation service?

Installation is not included in our price but if you’d like us to get one of our servicing agents to install the unit for you, we would be more than happy to arrange this, but will be at an additional cost. Most of our customers install it themselves as the process is relatively straightforward.

How does the Cold Plunge arrive?

The truck driver and their team will drop off one wooden box containing the tub and a wooden crate containing the cooling unit. They will also help move both boxes to the desired area on property. Please note that they don’t install Cold Plunge.

How big is the Cold Plunge?

What are the power requirements for the cooling unit?

Standard power source, and the power usage is included in spec sheet.

How much does it weigh?

It weighs around 881lbs-992lbs filled with water and 130lbs empty.

Does the cooling unit heat as well?

Yes it does indeed! Up to 107 degrees Fahrenheit.
